That's because they haven't done the sprints and relays yet.

Yeah, most of what they have done is long distance which is what ISU is best at. We will know more when they finally publish the results for today.

Today was a prelims day on the track. The only finals were in the multi-events and field events.

well technically it could also be said they are in first place after only 1 race (10,000m) so there is a lot of running to go.

Yeah Sunday is finals day. After Saturday thou the Women are in a tie for 2nd with 25 points only 10 points out of first. The men are 6th with 20 points. Nebraska leads both. This is still early as only 5 of 21 events in the women have been finished and 7 in the men. You know its still early Baylor hasn't even scored in the men's.

Willing to bet that both fall to around 10th and 11th place by the time finals are over.

probably a good guess, we placed 1-2-4 in the Womens 10k, after that its going to be bleak. The men will be paced by Brouilette in the throwing events and should do decent in the distance, but we have no sprinting to even speak of...

It looks like the men will finish in 9th and the women tied for 8th.

Looks like the women will finish 7th maybe 8th if Mizzou can finish 3rd or higher in the 4x4 (6th seed entering). We are done scoring with Koll and Sainu going 1-2 in the 5000. No entry in the 4x4.

we are two points out of 8th behind OSU, and two points up on OU going into the 5k. Men will come down to the head to head with OSU between their 10 runners in the 5k (going on now) and our 6, plus our 11th seeded 4x4, and OU's 2 runners in the 5k and their 5th seeded 4x4. Probably will fall to 10th, after all is said and done.

Putting a lot of scholly $$$ on sprints is not a smart way to build a program up this way (unless they are special)

distance, middle distance and throws and jumps are the way to go IMO.

Nebby has the template for success and they were good at it long before money and facilities were important. We used to have that same template.

Mizzou finishes 4th in 4x4 womens, ending up in a tie for 7th with ISU in the team race. Pretty decent weekend out of the ladies.

Men get a solid run out of the boys in the 5k and run a quality 4x4 to end up in a tie 9th with OU. Not a bad day out of them either.
