Re: Big 12 Teams to Share Record $130M
So what was ISU's pitiful share of that 130m?
Re: Big 12 Teams to Share Record $130M
I wonder what we'll do with our $750,000?

Hadn't counted it up, but interesting that the Big 12 has two BCS invites in four of the last six years. The FB conference championship game has not hurt rankings of the top teams as much as some thought, and it is another big source of revenue.

Pretty sure it is not since FB TV revenue is not. That has been one of JP's crusades since becoming AD, but he doesn't have the other votes yet to get it shared equally like the Big 10.

and unfortunately our recent lack of success in revenue producing sports doesn't help his credibility. Until we notch more W's, get more TV games w/in the conf., and get to a bowl, we have a limited say in the matter imo.

And he never will. Matters like revenue sharing need a 9-3 majority vote. It's pretty easy to pick out 4 schools that wouldn't want to lose any money, even though they don't really need it to begin with (UT, OU, NU, A&M).
Re: Big 12 Teams to Share Record $130M
60 million to Texas,
+60 million to Oklahoma,
+10 million to the rest of the schools
=130 million

Yep. The schools you listed must have better attorneys than the other schools because the "super majority" rule was incorporated into the Big 12 bylaws when they were written back in 1996.

If you're referring to my previous comment in this thread, I'd like to know how that could be interpreted as "trashing the conference" by any stretch of the imagination.
