    Husker's proposed arena

    Huskers proposed basketball arena. Looks nice... it would make the north division much more respectable if they could get that to pass.

    I also believe they are building a new practice facility soon. Definitely not a good time for us to start over and rebuild and have to compete with that.

    That was a pretty sweet virtual tour! Even the people were walking around haha.
    Nice looking arena though, anything beats the Devaney Center. That place now is a complete dump.

    And I think its more of a municiple arena than just for Husker basketball. Thats the only way it would pass.

    I'll also be very surprised to see this project gain approval. Opponents will have too much ammunition by pointing out the budget problems that Omaha is having to deal with partly due to obligations related to the Quest center. Lincoln residents won't spring for public funding - especially with the lack of interest in Husker basketball.

    Osborne has already come out and stated that he is OK with the backup plan to upgrade Devaney if (more likely when) the project doesn't fly.
