Huskers must feel pretty down
They lost to us when we...
- Didn't have our starting QB
- Didn't have our starting RB (who leads, or used to lead, the Big 12)
- Had guys on team that were sick and reportedly blowing chow at halftime
- Lost one of our corners to a broken leg
- Only scored 9 points

It's real quiet in the office today. They must still be in shock because they aren't standing around discussing how to fix the Huskers. :biglaugh:
Re: Huskers must feel pretty down
Embarrassed is probably a better word. 8 turnover is a ridiculous number.

Don't Forget
Arguably top defensive lineman (parker) and top receiver (reynolds)
Re: Huskers must feel pretty down
Don't forget:
Blew multiple chances to score by fumbling the football away. Seriously, hwo many times have you seen that many fumbles in one game inside the 20? Now, some fumbles had to do with our defense, but I can think of one off the top of my head that was basically a TD and he just stumbled and dropped the ball. That's called luck...For us.
Either way, a win is a win is a win, and I will take it!

Benton. Happened in the first half, went back in and played on it. Staff evaluated and discovered it was broke at the half.

Crap!
Re: Huskers must feel pretty down
I'm alive. I was out of the office yesterday with a sick kid and the first thing I did today at work was congratulate an ISU fan in my dept.
Was there a full moon Friday or Saturday? Honestly, that's about all I can say regarding the turnovers. Some of those were so flukey (the Paul fumble and INT at the goal line intended for McNeil that bounced around so many times it's a wonder the ball didn't hit the ground), that you run the same play 10 times and each time Paul scores and McNeil doesn't turn the ball over.
But hey, you guys have scoreboard and that's all that matters.
Re: Huskers must feel pretty down
according to the husker fans in this office, they gave isu the turnovers, isu didn't cause them. Was told yesterday if they play 10 more times, nebraska wins them all. While that may or may not be true, that's not how it works...

Do this to them..:rolleyes::tongue::tongue::tongue::rolleyes:
Re: Huskers must feel pretty down
I was thinking the Huskers must be feeling pretty down because they lost to Iowa State twice in one week. Both games were lost at home and snapped 30+ year streaks.
That's gotta sting some.
Re: Huskers must feel pretty down
Everyone in my office expected Iowa State pictures, newspaper articles, and anything else related to Iowa State to be hung from the rafters when they got to work yesterday morning. What they got was nothing more than a smile from me. I tell you what, it burns them so much more that I haven't rubbed this in their dirty little noses. I have yet to mention the game...they keep coming to me wanting to talk about it!
I know that, had nebraska won, my office would have been littered with nebraska stuff. It is killing them that I didn't do this to them, makes them feel a little less "special".
