What's sad is that...

1) We forced those turnovers. OK... maybe not the ball that Paul just dropped on his way to the Endzone...

2) On the fumble that O'Connell recovered in the Endzone (different play than Paul's), he was halfway to paydirt on a scoop-and-score going the other way when the Refs blew the play dead, only to review it and give us a touchback on the "recovery in the Endzone". There's another 7 points that would have made it 16-7. See, both sides can play this game....

Don't forget the fumble Jessie Smith recovered that was taken away at the bottom of the scrum. We should have had another recovery had the refs gotten there faster.

As much as I hate to say it, I will be pulling for Nebraska all the way in this one. I dislike anything Kansas, and it would kill me to have them in the spotlight anymore this year. Sorry Snyder...you don't deserve Big12 Coach of the Year, and you won't win this game to complete your trickery of the media minds!

You should be pulling for Nebraska. Kansas State loses, they aren't bowl eligible. That helps us.

I've said in the past that I hate NU so much that I wouldn't be able to cheer for them even if it meant Iowa State would win the North...

Well, since we beat them this year, and because I hate KSU as well, I think I will actually be able to cheer for the Huskers (I still feel dirty just saying that...). As much as it will disgust me to see them win the North, we need to make sure we get into a bowl, and I don't want Snyder to be COTY.

(Thankfully I can go back to cheering against them when they play Colorado)

The offense is getting better and having a healthy Roy Helu doesn't hurt any either as well as getting back it's #2 RB who broke his toe the Monday following the Mizzou game.

Nebraska seems to be abandoning the spread, zone read, shot gut formations, and over the last 2 weeks have ran alot of power football sets (2 RB's, 2 TE's, and a single WR).

I don't think Paul fumbles that ball unless LJ goes all out to dive at his feet. LJ needed every inch of his frame to make contact and disrupt Paul just enough that he lost the handle. Granted, he probably doesn't fumble that ball 9 times out of 10, but the scoreboard speaks for itself.

But, what's great is we got 8. Come on peeps, enjoy the season for what it is. Not what could have been. I wonder, is this why we are always so depressed, saying the world hates us, we can't catch a break? Is it because, when good things happen, we still focus on what was bad? I'm guilty of this, I know. But this football season has been a real surprise in a lot of ways. Yeah, seeing it played out, we could have won more, but seriously, at the end of last season, when chizik left, seriously, and I mean seriously, who here thought we'd be Bowl eligible right now? It may not look like it from the outside, but this is and has been a pretty special season.
