I have always enjoyed reading Sam McKewon in the Nebraska State Paper and here is his take on the Mangino situation in Kansas and the demeanor of college coaches in general. Although he, at times, seems to sympathise with "cry baby" players, overall it is a well thought-out appraisal.

I think the writers a bit of hypocrite.
Bo Pelini is no angel, yet he seems to think he's okay while Mangino is not.
Big difference between Pelini and Mangino. Pelini may be animated on the sidelines, but he is not an a-hole off the field or in practice, and his players love him. Mangino appears to be an a-hole 24/7.
