This...no brainer 2nd team guy.
Jesse Smith from walk-on to first team BIG XII how awesome is that!

PR did a great job, but look at our overall body of work. We have losses to KU and KSU, who aren't going to bowls, got trounced by AnM and Iowa and took a pretty good beating down in Columbia. We really only had one meaningful win all year, Nebraska, and the rest of our wins came against very, very bad teams. PR definitely deserves the respect and admiration of all Cyclone fans, and we are on the way to being relevant in the Big 12 again...but Big 12 COY is giving him a bit too much credit when Mac Brown will likely run the table in the Big 12 which I would imagine hasn't happened more than 5-6 times, and will have his team playing for a NC.

This entire thread has been an interesting peak into human psychology.
I see people sticking up for our coach. Honorable trait. Some may not see the logic to why Rhoads is deserving to the COY honor. Those defending Rhoads don't see the logic why Brown is deserving the COY honor.
Again I can see both sides to this.
Yes that's how I feel. Big whoop. Do you want to fight about it? -

Facts are facts.

I am just as big of a Cyclone fan as anyone but I don't follow things blindly in life. Just don't do it
My dad doesn't know 1/2 as much about ISU as I do. Doesn't care as much as I do, but he is blinded by everything Iowa State. He would be like you. Does that mean he is a better fan then me?

Not everybody who thinks Mack Brown deserves to be COY is a Texas fan. -

Ok - the insult tossing stops now.
Thank you.

Holy crap. Someone conveniently deletes almost all of their posts in this thread and then gets to say "play nice".

Lets all agree that he wins Big 12 North Coach of the Year, I will print him off a certificate and give him one of my old AAU basketball medals, and we can call it good.

I don't know if anyone mentioned it, but Paul Rhoads was an honorable mention for coach of the year, so he did get a little recognition.
