Of course he does. I have no beef with Mack Brown, but seriously? Its not hard to be successful when you have everything at your disposal day in and day out. Its not an accomplishment.

I like how the big12 website is making a big deal of releasing the results one at a time at 5 minute intervals, when it looks like the teams already know the results.

The more I think about it, the more I realize Rhoads really didn't do a TON to deserve it. Yeah we got to 6 wins, but how far were we from that last year? Not very far (see: Colorado, UNLV, Iowa, Kansas State, Kansas) and we returned essentially the whole team.

I would vote for Brown probably too. The guy was 12-0 in the Big 12 south.

cant wait to have Sims back out there next year. Now all we have to do is find one more Defensive newcomer of the year for next year (somewhere in the front 7) :)

Yeah a million years ago. Now its just year after year. No real surprise there. There are other coaches who are now improving abysmal teams and they dont get the praise.

The man did win one more game than last season. And a rousing three more than two seasons ago.

I mean, what a job! Tough to do on a 100MM budget.

So because he has always been successful, that means he shouldn't get it this year? Since when is 6-6 in the north better than 12-0 in the south?

With your logic Steve Nash shouldn't have won his second MVP because his stats weren't any better then the previous year. Doesn't matter that the stats are great and he played awesome that year.
