Glad we got Rhoads though :) I would've been happy with Gill if we would've picked him after Chiz ditched, but hindsight is 20/20 and we have another season to gauge his success this time around. It could work out, but he definitely has lost some of the luster. He was probably another losing season at Buffalo away from being removed from the HC conversation at any BCS school altogether so good move by him.

Re: Gill to KU
Gill came back down to earth this year. It looks like last year's season was the exception more than the rule, and he knows he's gotta strike while the iron is still hot. I was on the Gill bandwagon last year, but if we were looking for a coach right now, he wouldn't be that high on my list.
In 1984, I was hospitalized for approaching perfection. -

I didn't realize KU fans cared about football so much.

Re: Gill to KU
I was OK with Gill last year. Then I saw the International Bowl. He looked totally outmatched by Edsall, Brown, and UConn.
KU is going to have some major holes at their skill positions. Fortunately for them, they've got a K-State-esque non-con (against such football titans as Duke, Rice, and New Mexico State, with a legitimately tough road game at Southern Miss.) They take OU, Texas, and Tech off the schedule and go to Baylor, play A&M and Okie Lite at home. They still have to play in Lincoln, though. That should be a fun game to watch.

Re: Gill to KU
Loving Gill there and not Harbaugh...he must have been option 5 or 6 from the sounds of it.

I don't think he is the best coach but he is going to be a good recruiter. This hire will help KU keep their recruiting class and stop people from leaving the program.

Re: Gill to KU
We'll have to see how it goes of course, but doing anything with Buffalo was quite a job.

Re: Gill to KU
BTW, Buffalo is in FBS, aren't they? I didn't think they were FCS. ESPN keeps running a crawl saying that Gill has become the 4th black coach in FBS.
