Tuberville to Tech Official
Well, pretty much official. Doesn't look like Tech will fall back to mediocrity any time soon. Texas Tech Football Basketball and Recruiting: RedRaiderSports.com
Biggest question is will he keep the high flying offense that has been the staple of TT compared to his power running game that he had at UA. When he tried to switch to the spread there that didn't work out so well for him did it. -

Tuberville will get as good of recruits or better than Leach was able to. That will hurt us.

Re: Tuberville to Tech Official
All depends on the staff he brings in, but I am stoked to have another quality coach in the Big XII.
NHL teams need to be added to the favorite teams section. -
Re: Tuberville to Tech Official
Why does everyone think this is terrible for ISU? We play them 2 times in a 5 period. The only slight downside that I could see is recruiting and it's not very often that we go head to head with with Tech anyway.

From what I've read on the TT scout message board is that one of the reasons they hired him is because he agreed not to hire is own staff and retain most of the assistants. Good/bad? I don't know.
Edit: The staff part is being reported by good ol' Timmy Griffen. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4811310

Re: Tuberville to Tech Official
The only good that can come out of this is if they dump that offense. With our personal, we have no chance at beating them anytime soon.

Exactly what I was thinking.
I don't bring my own opinions, just attack others. -

This does probably mean Mac will get the South Florida job now.

Re: Tuberville to Tech Official
Zero net impact for ISU.
Texas Tech is not as easy a place to win as what a lot of people think. That's what made Leach's success so impressive.
I think Tommy has a tough job in front of him.

Would be great to see Mac at South Florida. I could see him being even more successful there than he was at ISU, and I'd pull for him all the way. He's in a fertile recruiting area where he is well connected, he's in a weaker conference than the Big 12 but it's still a BCS conference, and USF has shown the last 5 years they can be a contender. I really hope Mac gets a shot at being a head coach again there.
"Blamo"! The new CF approved swear word. -
Re: Tuberville to Tech Official
I suppose retaining the assistants keeps them under the AD's thumb while Leach sues TT. Very sketchy, Tech.
I was a victim of a series of accidents, as are we all. -
Re: Tuberville to Tech Official
I'm not worried about this one bit. Sounds like it could be a little messy, but Tuberville is a good coach. Welcome to the Big 12 I say.

Re: Tuberville to Tech Official
Leach is gone......net positive for ISU. Bring on the Tuberville era. Bottom line...they will regress. I'm shocked of the tone of this thread. Great day for ISU

Re: Tuberville to Tech Official
I've only seen Tuberville interviewed a few times but if I was a recruit I would much prefer CPR based on his personality, charisma and enthusiasm, and of course I'm not partial.
