Most likely this actually hurt KU financially. This is probably a couple of people taking advantages of their position for personal gain. Making money on tickets that should have been sold to KU fans for a profit instead of being sold by some of the people in charge and going into their pocket.
Here is a timeline of recent KU bball I ran across a while back. I can't verify any of these claims, but if only one or two of the claims are legit, it wouldn't surprise me.
Uhh, the NCAA moved from Overland Park to Indianapolis in the summer of 1999.
Correct. The NCAA moved because the proximity of Lawrence to Overland Park was making it more and more impossible to ignore the stench coming from Lawrence.
On another note, I wonder if Bill Self might be interested in a job change...
"Don't worry Boss...they can't do nothin' 'til they're through sparklin'..."

all those things are true and happened and were all swept under the rug. It is a nasty thing they have going there in Lawrence. Although that blog is a K-State fan, so the bias is very thick.
That K-State guy posted that a couple of years ago and 80% was nothing but hearsay. Plus lots of it was PROVEN incorrect. But I love this:
KU is awarded a 1 seed in the NCAA tournament despite beating zero top 25 RPI teams in the regular season. They benefit by this strange seeding by receiving a draw of playing a 16 seed, an 8 seed, a 12 seed, and a 10 seed to get to the final four.
Kind of left out that KU played in the only Final Four in history to have all 4 #1 seeds and they managed to win it. That blog is the biggest sour grapes I've ever read. If you went by hearsay you could write just as much about K-State. You would just have to leave off the Big 12 titles and Final Fours.

Sorry pal . . your dismissive comments don't work for me. Even if only part of his investigative work is true . . it provides enough material to indict KU for the next century. On the ticket scandal now emerging at KU, I hope the FBI gets done what the corrupt NCAA can't . . . shut down that stinking program in Lawrence.
If the FBI rules that a couple of people took advantage of their position and pocketed thousands of dollars, actually hurting the University financially, will you call the FBI corrupt?

Hey with that logic . . you are at the top of your class! Outstanding!
