Saving the Big 12
David Hill Can Save the Big 12 and Pac-10 | Bleacher Report
A really good article. I hope Don Beebe is paying attention.

Best article I have seen so far.

Re: Saving the Big 12
Good article. He makes some great points.
I really like the idea of a Big 12/Pac 10 network. Like he says in the article, whatever network could put together a deal, they would have a complete monoply on the entire US West of the Mississippi. (College Sports that is)
With the 2 hour time difference, scheduling 4 games every Saturday would be possible, along with 1 or 2 prime games on either the main Fox Sports, or a deal elsewhere.
That's 6 games right there, 12 of the 22 teams would be on TV every Saturday, with maybe a Thursday night format implemented as well. Already a much better option than the current TV contract where 4 teams a week are on TV.
Let's hope Beebe is being proactive and protects the Big 12. I think the doomsday Big 10/Pac10 pullout scenarios are overplayed.

Article? All I can see is a link for a story on a Miami Dolphins Cheerleader...

Re: Saving the Big 12
Great article!! There is hope and we have alternatives, but I don't have the confidence that Beebe is the man that's going to save the B12 at the end of the day.

Al, if I didn't know any better, I'd say that you have 'special' feelings for the Big 12.

Re: Saving the Big 12
Without BYU and Utah, it's just as bad... We'd have to hope for the KSU's, Techs and Baylor's of the world to come with.

Re: Saving the Big 12
I heard Dan Beebe interviewed last night. Some highlights (which include reading between the lines of what he stated): - Big 12 will not be making any moves ahead of conference realignment
- Big 12 has no desire to expand beyond 12 teams
- Big 12 Network is not completely out of the question but don't hold your breath
- Big 12 FB championship game will be in Dallas in perpetuity
- The TV contract the Big 12 is good given when it was negotiated
In other words, all is well, nothing to see here.
