Alabama #1, Nebraska onl Big-12 team in Sporting News pre-season rankigs
Alabama is rated number-one (no surprise there) in the Sporting News pre-season football rankings. Nebraska is the only Big-12 team listed in the top-10: SN's preseason top 10: Spring report - Dave Curtis and Matt Hayes - College Football - Sporting News

Iowa should be in there, as much as it pains me.
Also I bet Texas will be able to reload just fine!

Doesn't mean anything at this point. Wild Boise State is #4.

Whoever wrote this article needs to be arrested for littering and smoking the reefer...

Wisconsin will be ok but lose 2 or 3
GTech will be 8-4

It's been a while since Texas hasn't cracked the top 10. No OU either..

Oklahoma will be in top 10 before season is over in my opinion, and Iowa should be in the top 10 as well.

Boise St. should be #2. Surprising they have Oregon #2 considering their QB and RB might not even be playing extended portions of their seasons. I like Ohio St. at #3. GT is not a top 10 team. That's just ludicrous. I'm fine with Miami, TCU & Wisconsin, but I think Florida should be swapped with iowa and Nebraska should be swapped with Oklahoma, though Nebraska will probably visit the top 10 at some time next season. I think USC and Georgia could make their way in there too.

I doubt Oregon will be that high in preseason polls because of Masoli not playing, but they'll be in the conversation at the end. How are they starting in front of tOSU as well when UO lost to tOSU just 4 months ago, and handedly at that.
Lots of people have Boise St at #2 as well. They're not going to start much lower than 4 probably. That opening week game at Virginia Tech will pretty much decide their season i'm guessing.
Texas will start in the Top 10 - they're returning more than Florida, and Florida lost pieces of their coaching staff too.
Iowa should be 10 instead of Wisconsin.
Very surprised to see GT at #5 - they lost their best RB and their only good WR, plus starters from Def.

Just not sold that you lose Suh and get better on defense

Broyles and Murray are two of the biggest impact players in the conference and maybe the country. The defense lost McCoy and some other big time names, but there is depth in that defense and they bring back a nice returning cast of starters.
I expect OU to resemble their teams of '06 & '07. They aren't national title contenders, but they will rise to the top of a B12 that is rebuilding, if for no other reason than they don't experience as much fluctuation year-to-year and they continue to bring in very good recruiting classes.
