I agree with teh least class. They really don't fit the Big 10 very well, but oh well, if that's where they want to go then more power to them.

We followed the Clones to K-State (football) and were treated terrific. Several even thanked us for coming. The folks parked beside us didn't think we had eaten and offered to share their tailgate. Excellent experience except we lost.

Re: Classiest and Least Classiest Fans in the Big XII

I guess in general I would concur with you that feel the tiger fans
    are the worst. -in general-.

I've always felt ISU fans are a pretty good bunch, and I still do in
general. We've all seen what happens when too much "fun" is had
at a ball game etc, but, up till yesterday I can honestly say that I've
never been REALLY ashamed of another ISU fans public behaviour.

    Up to yesterday.

Sad to say, the absolute worst case of vulgarity I have seen in recent
memory was an ISU person. And I mean I was ashamed.

We were walking in the SGK thing yesterday in Sioux City and a fellow
ISU person was in line to get tags for the run. wearing cardinal colored
cap and shorts, and a yellow teeshirt at a Breast Cancer rally.

Maybe it's me getting older, or maybe it's just that this business is an emotional
thing for families that are going thru breast cancer, (happily, Mama Moo's story
is a happy one so far) but I just wanted to run over and strangle the jerk. I mean,
there were a hundred women in line behind him and every one of them was
standing there with their heads turned sideways so they didn't have to read
the "Kansas Sucks / Swallows" printed on his shirt.

BTW this was not some "one oar in the water type" looking guy either.

COME ON folks have some sense. Please think about who you're reflecting on.

    peace.

    ???

If you bothered to read the thread, you'd get the impression that ISU fans' were generally fond of the OSU and aTm fans, while thought that TT, KU, K-State, Mizzou, and CU fans were genrally D-bags. In other words, ISU fans generally tend to think that the south schools are classy and the north schools not so much...

I don't think that it is terrible to wear ISU gear to an event like that, but the vulgar shirt is going a little far. Save that stuff for the day we're playing that team (or for mowing the lawn).

Actually, if you bothered to read his post, you'd see that's exactly what he's saying.

To HIM, the North fans are classy and the South fans are not. He's saying we tend to think the opposite as him. Sort of poorly worded on his part, yet not that hard to understand.

If you want to get yelled at for standing up and cheering at a game, go to Lincoln. They have a sense of entitlement that would make Ben Roethlisberger blush.

I hear yah about Okie State I love Stillwater too! My second favorite Big 12 team! One of the most fun college towns I have visited. Also going to the bars after the football game still wearing my ISU stuff I have never had so many people thank me for coming down. I would say their fans are definately most like us.

Least classy for me definately KU fans.

Classiest - Texas A&M and it's not a competition. By far the nicest fans I ever met.

Least Classy - Colorado or KU. Rich snobs who are WAY too much like Iowa Hawkeyes.

    Frak,

you are absolutely correct. Sorry, I phrased that VERY poorly.

FTR I am COMPLETELY good and fine with wearing our school colors
    at benefits etc.

What the women behind him obviously found vulgar was the wording
on the shirt. And, it was combination of the wording -and the school
colors- in a setting like that is what Mama Moo and I found offensive
    as ISU supporters.

    peace.
