Well, if it only takes 8 to get revenue sharing, unless Texas hires some pattsies it is on the way. Who are they going to bring in if Mizzou and Nebbie leave that would be AGAINST revenue sharing??

If ND were really looking to become fully affiliated with a conference (and I am not even saying that they are, but if they were) taking Mizzou's spot in the Big 12 while retaining rights to most of their income would be very appealing indeed. They don't have the ability to bully the Big East because they don't participate with football (or its $$$ as a big stick). In fact, Big East commissioner has supposedly told them to join up in full or risk being turned away (talk about empty threats.)

Were ND to jump to the Big 12, they maintain BCS automatic qualifier affiliation, the right to keep much of their revenue, and a solid block of teams who likely would vote to keep it that way.

If you were a Golden Domer, what's not to love? I would say that it is an actual probability, considering the other alternative would be giving up most of their football TV revenue to 11 other schools should they join the Big Ten. Why would they want to do that? They need to be in a major conference for all it means to all the other sports, but they don't want to give up football revenues--and long term, it appears the Big East is the most wobbly of all major conferences.

Who's the answer to that question?
