Mizzou
I thought this was a pretty well researched article on Mizzou and why they want out so bad, as well as why it may not matter. Re: Mizzou
Here's what underachieving Mizzou really wants to keep quiet: It's the only Big 12 school with single-digit championships. Yup, Baylor, the league's so-called weakest link, has captured a combined 36 championships.
So Mizzou has the fewest championships in the conference, and Baylor is considered the league's "weakest link"? Somebody is saying that about another school? Not us?
Ahh, both those little tidbits do my heart wonders.

Re: Mizzou
Just for giggles. I'm too lazy to look it up today, but how many championships do our beloved clones have?
I'm a little suprized we have more than 8. We compete well in a lot of sports, but I didn't know that we had many championships.
Wrestling and couple of basketball. Do we count the share of the Big XII north. Anyway, yeah, they're not picking on us for once.

Re: Mizzou
This is just my humble opinion, but I really think The University of Missouri has flat out embarrased itself over this, and nearly burnt every relationship it has in the Big 12. If the Big Ten doesn't take them, they should have a back-up plan elsewhere.

Re: Mizzou
Here's ISU's championship rundown - according to the Big 12 '09-'10 Record Book Regular Season
2 in Men's basketball
1 in Women's basketball
1 in Football (for tying the division - a little far fetched to call this a "championship," but the Big 12 counts it) Postseason
1 in Men's basketball
2 in Women's basketball
2 in Gymnastics
3 in Wrestling

We really don't have any big XII reg season wrestling championships? or with just 5 teams does the Big XII not recognize a reg season and tourney champ separately?

Would love to see ND cave and join Big 10, then Big 10 tell NU and MU, "never mind, we good now".
The Big 12 should then punt MU's lame *** to the curb.

Re: Mizzou
If Mizzou is claiming that the Big 10 is a better academic fit than that Big 12, I hope they realize their academics stand up about as well as their athletic program has in the Big 12. The admission standards are Mizzou would have a tough time comparing to Northwestern, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin... Apparently they enjoy being part of the "bottom half"

While ISU is a better school, but admission standards are not exactly tough.
