Economically, I don't think anyone would turn down 80k paying customers. Having said that, I've never been more uncomfortable at a game in my life as I was sitting in Memorial Stadium. Nothing like having a total stranger's knees in your back for 3+ hours (and mine in the back of the guy in front of me).

While I loathe nearly everything Nebraska related, their fans have proven their loyalty with their wallets time and time again, whether it be through ticket sales, pay per views etc... They have no risk with expansion, they'll continue to sell out regardless of how many seats they add. It's a nice luxury to have, and nearly every school in the country should be envious.

Exactly. It's a very cramped stadium, not to mention that 2/3 of their seats are in the end zones.

I am willing to be that when NEB, Iowa and maybe UNI come that it would be filled 100%.

How hard is it to be loyal to a team that's had, what, 1 or 2 losing seasons since the 60's?

No way they keep selling out if they increase much more. There is no one in that state to buy the tickets!
