We'll see. I think that guy is going a little overboard. Kinda chicken little-ish.
Yeah, it's all about money...BUT, Texas STILL has the highest athletic department budget of any school out there, even with the Big 12's bad TV package. I doubt that they are really looking to change things.

How are OSU, KSU and Colorado rated above ISU? Author's bias showing??

Great article, but not good for us

Why is this "must-read"? It's one OU yahoo's opinion and nothing more. No facts, not even rumors about what is actually going on.
Just the fact that this guy thinks that TTech, Okie State, K-State are on the same level as CU in regards to joining the Pac 10 tells me all I need to know about his research.

Relax guys...ISU is going to be in the biggest conference before it is all said and done. With TV coverage on everything West of the Mississippi River.

I think someone must have a different definition of 'must-read' than I do.

Re: A Must read about "Re-alignment" (Kick us to the Curb)
None of us know what is going to happen when all of the realignment stuff plays out. The truth of the matter is that this author is right about one thing...it is every school for themselves! Those of you who think of ISU as a legacy school (original member) and therefore won't be left out are just hoping it plays out that way! Don't you think ISU would immediately accept an offer to join the Big10? But what about our loyalty to the schools we have been united with for so long? If any of the schools in the Big12 get an offer that makes themselves better off...they will take it! Including us...

The premise of the article is the demise of the B12. It's not going anywhere.

They may be tied to OU and KU, but they are both located in BF nowhere in states that have less population than Iowa and they are significantly worse academically than ISU. Central Kansas and Central Oklahoma make Central Iowa look like a mecca of culture and opportunity in comparison. Sadly it is all about money, but if that came true it would be a disgrace.

I agree 100% with all of this but with regard to this guys article and his perception of B12 athletics I think he's basically correct except where he states that KSU "helps the conference in some ways". I don't think KSU helps the B12 more than ISU but I think they're secure as a member of the B12 because of KU.
