Head, meet Sand. I think he is fundamentally correct.

Head, meet Sand. C'mon, seriously. What did you expect him to say?

I don't believe AD's actually vote on conference realignment decisions, do they? -

I don't believe AD's actually vote on conference realignment decisions, do they? No, but he needs to start selling ISU to conferences.
Just like some of the south schools initiated contact with the PAC-10, and appear to have succeeded. I don;t think ISU will naturally "gravitate" towards its best option.

Re: Where Is JP?
Why does everyone demand JP says something? Until something happens what can he say? Our fate lies in the hands of the teams in our conference either staying or leaving because let's face it we aren't going to land in a conference as good as the Big 12 if the conference blows up. What can Jamie even say that we don't already know? Right now we are a member of the Big 12 and that's about the extent of a status you can really even give at this point. Now if teams start leaving THEN he has reason to speak up and say we are looking at our options or so and so conference has talked to him, etc. but the media is running wild with conference realignment speculation that every day a new scenario is thrown out there so you can't be commenting every time some new rumor surfaces unless your school is one of the ones mentioned in the rumor. So far none of this speculation has included ISU being offered to change conferences so JP has no obligation to say anything IMO.

Head, meet Sand. ISU has no moves until the B12 breaks up. We aren't being courted by the B10 or PAC10. He can do nothing except work to keep the B12 together at this point.
