So with all of the conference realignment talk. To me, it looks like the Big 10 and Texas holds the 'real' cards.
- The Big 10 (that's eleven teams) plus Notre Dame, decide that they have to add Texas and Missouri.
- Pac 10 gets almost what they want, except no Texas, leaving them to add Boise State.
- Big 10 says, "hey, we can either have 2 divisions of 6 or 3 divisions of 6 if we add ISU, Nebraska, KSU and Kansas". And that is what happens.

So assuming that the new Big 10, with 18 teams and THREE divisions becomes a reality, build your conferences with current Big 10 members plus Notre Dame, Texas, Missouri, Nebraska, Kansas, Kansas State, and our favorite, Iowa State.
