I tend to agree with you, but why the SEC and not the Big Ten. If 16 team superconferences are the next step, who do you REALLY see the five teams are to join the Big Ten?

I read on ESPN's bottom line that Neb and Mu have been given invitations to oin. Doe anyone know if that's true or if I mis read that?

All I see on their website is the report that they have been given a deadline, nothing from the Big10 yet.

According to the American-Statesman, the six schools would be more inclined to accept the Pac-10's offer if Nebraska and Missouri were interested in leaving the Big 12, as their departures could lead to the conference's dissolution.
The Big 12's ultimatum really is geared toward Nebraska, according to OrangeBloods.com. The conference believes it could survive without Missouri but not without the Cornhuskers. The decision date of roughly June 15 coincides with a meeting of the Nebraska Board of Regents in Lincoln next weekend.
However, neither Nebraska nor Missouri has been formally invited to join the Big Ten, which has said it could take up to 18 months to decide whether it wants to expand.

I would laugh my *** off if 6 went to the pac 10, but baylor got in over colorado, and then nu, mu, or both got turned down by the big 10.

If A&M goes SEC...which is entirely possible, then CU could still get in along with Baylor leaving only 3 from the B12 left...two of which are attached at the hip.

I don't like that scenario one bit.
