Does everyone agree that CU is not going to the PAC 10?
I have been reading through threads and many people are putting CU in the PAC 10. Everything I read says that Baylor will be picked over CU, so why is everyone assuming CU is out of the Big 12 and I wonder how CU feels about all this?

The Pac Ten doesnt want Baylor
They will make a deal with Texas to compromise
They should take Kansas over Texas Tech too
If you have a problem - if no one else can help - and if you can find
them - maybe you can hire: The A-Team. -

That would first require agreeing with you... Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this. -
Re: Does everyone agree that CU is not going to the PAC 10?
Pac 10 wants Denver. So no, I don't agree.
Texas might try and play hard ball to include Baylor. But I don't think that's the same as the Pac 10 wanting them over CU.

It is all a function of whether the Big 10 and Pac 10 really think a 16 team league makes sense.
- If ND would simply just join the Big 10, this **** would be over and Big 10 would be happy.
- Pac 10 might then decide to go to 12 and raid CU from Big 12 plus one more. UT and Big 12 powers would probably think good riddance. Big 12 replaces CU with one school and everyone is still happy.
- But, if Pac 10 wants to be the first to boldly reach for the 16 team league, it appears UT is prepared to blow up the Big 12 and make that happen. Under this path, ISU is screwed. Ironically, CU may be screwed also since taking the complete Big 12 south is just easier.

They should take Kansas over Texas Tech too Kansas and Kansas State are a package deal. One won't go anywhere without the other. Hurts KU a ton.

wait, so if we all agree here than CU won't go? Is that how this works?
seriously, another thread needed to be started regarding this?

Yes. Each ingenious thought needs to have its own thread.

The only way CU ends up in the Pac 10 is if the Big 12 stays intact and the Pac 10 offers CU and Utah. Texas politics will force the Pac 10's hand by forcing them to take Baylor with the other Texas schools. UT will not have any say in the matter just liek when the Big 12 was formed.
Anyone that thinks the Texas politicians won't force the matter aren't paying attention and are ignoring history.
IMO- If the Big 12 stays intact then they form a TV Alliance witht the Pac 10 and the Pac 10 leaves CU alone. i am not sure CU could afford the Big 12 buyout anyway.
I think in the end,
the Big 10 gets ND
The Big 12 stays the same
The Pac 10 stays the same Or adds a couple teams
The Pac 10/Big 12 TV Alliance happens
"Not at the table Carlos." -

The Pac 10/Big 12 TV Alliance happens This is what I have been hoping for the whole time, and felt there was a better than 50% chance it would happen until this new announcement about the Pac 10 thinking about inviting the six Big 12 schools. That was a surprising and scary development that makes me wonder if the Pac 10/Big 12 network discussion was ever really happening or could be put back together. This is big time balls poker.

Re: Does everyone agree that CU is not going to the PAC 10?
I think we're SOL if the sCUm gets left out of the PAC 10. Suddenly, we drop to the 4th spot on the forgotten four (KSU is above because they are "tied" to KU). I'd look for the MWC to snag sCUm, KU, KSU, and Boise then call it a day. And then, ISU is truely the only school of the current 65 teams in a BCS conference that gets left out.

Re: Does everyone agree that CU is not going to the PAC 10?
It is not that the Pac 10 wants Baylor over Colorado, it is the Texas legislature is stepping in again. According to the link below there are several in the Texas legislature that are trying to put it in if Texas, Tech, and A&M are to go to Pac 10 then Baylor has to be included, which would put either OSU or CU on the outs. For what it is worth, I believe the Big 12 will remain, because Nebraska's deadline will come before the B10 is ready, because they want ND and Texas and will not be ready to take the next step to the huskers until they have pushed ND as hard as possible. What? Baylor, Nebraska May Decide Fate Of Big 12

All hail, Delaney! The Master of Beebee. The scourge of Texas. The Naysayer of Football.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

If the state of texas tries to impose Baylor going to Pac10 as a precondition of the other texas schools going there, I think that this may very well be a deal killer. Just my opinion anyway.

It's going to be tough for the Texas Legislature to "officially" do anything since it isn't in session until January. Whine, *****, and moan is about all they can do. Those tactics might work but a bill of some sort is not possible until January.
