Affect on Recruiting

All this expansion talk has to just KILL recruiting.

I wouldn't go to ISU if I thought they might end up in the MWC.... especially if I'm from Texas or Oklahoma.

Some say we could get recruits from out west, but think again. The best recruits out west will go to the new Pac 16, or if not there, most likely Utah, BYU, Boise State, etc before ISU.

I hope something gets settled quickly on this. It cannot be good for Rhoads and Hoiberg trying to talk kids into coming here... that's for sure!

Exactly the point I've been trying to make. A move to the refurbed mountain west with a 16 team Pac-10 makes it even harder for us to win IMO than our current setup dispite being in a weaker conference. I think we are a worse team in a worse conference which is an awful outcome. That said, there really isn't a great outcome from this situation.

That has been a main worry of mine - we may have to try harder with in state recruits due to all the realignment talk. Florida instead of texas may have to become our mainstay.
