Big 10 invites out?

Lurking over at HN and they linked "Frank the Tank's" Twitter. Looks like he is picking up a lot of chatter that the invites have gone out to Nebby and Mizzou. Take it for what it is worth...

What a reliable source - People forget that earlier this year it was "a done deal" that the NCAA expands to 96 teams. The internet age is upon us...people just throw everything they can at the wall if if what they throw sticks they look like a genius.

I know that. I just wanted to let people know. Seems like the posters over on HN believe this guy has had credible info in the past. Like I said, TAKE IT FOR WHAT IT IS WORTH...

We all know this is coming, its just a matter of when at this point. If NU and Mizzou werent going to the Big10 there would have already been an announcement. The fact that there hasnt been anything tells me there are serious discussions going on, more than likely ones about how much money is going to be made.

You had to think that with the ultimatum on Mizzou and Nebby that they would be pushing the Big 10 to make a decision on whether or not to invite them.

Or they are using the time to wait for an offer...that may not come.
UT gave the until Friday. There is no incentive for MU and NU to make a decision earlier. Ego alone would say NU and MU would wait until the last minute.

Then why isnt the Big10 saying anything? Why did the Big10 say the Pac10 talk would accelerate their timeline? It certainly isnt because the Big10 is not interested in them.

Also being reported by a poster on the Nebby Rivals board. The OP seems to be a regular insider on there and claims he has someone on the inside of the athletic department filling him in. People seem to be giving him credence...

Of course the Big 10 is interested in them...and like I said, is why UN at Lincoln and MU will not commit to the Big 12 until they have to. However, considering/interest is a quite a bit different than an offer.

I heard the same think last night from a friend of mine in Lincoln. He has had reliable info in the past. However, I'm taking it with a grain of salt at this point. There have been so many different people with "inside information" I don't know what to believe any more.

They're grouping us with Northwestern to provide a "minor league" of sorts for the rest of the Big 10.

Ya but the writtings on the wall, some of my NU friends think that NU has been sitting on this offer since that report came out of KC. TO just wanted to see if this would change any of the current issues over the Big 12 meetings last week.
