Re: Is Iowa State a 2nd Class Citizen?
Alright, found an a great link: Iowa State University Alumni Association - Alumni and Members Per current Big 12 states:
Colorado:6,168
Iowa: 83,999
Kansas:3,637
Missouri: 4,934
Nebraska:4,518
Oklahoma:940
Texas:7,685 Per current MWC states:
California:10,212
Colorado:6,168
Nevada:711
New Mexico:857
Texas:7,685
Utah:577
Wyoming:334 per current Big East states (football states only):
Connecticut:703
Florida:3,974
Kentucky:658
New Jersey:1,176
New York:2,202
Ohio:2,560
West Virginia:141 per current Big Television states:
Illinois:14,338

Iowa: 83,999
Michigan:2,418
Minnesota:13,581
Ohio:2,560
Pennsylvania1,751
Pennsylvania1,751
Pennsylvania:1,751
Wisconsin:5,107
So from an alumni/ built in fan base stand point, the Big Ten would be wonderful. It's not happening, but it would be wonderful. MWC and Big East are going to suck hard if it happens. Not looking forward to this.
(happy 600th post to me.)
For "I", for "S", forever!
For Iowa State all the way.
Let's go! To show them what the gang's all here for,
Go! To show them how the Cyclones cheer.
For "I", for "S", forever!
For Iowa State do it right!
It's time to climb up on the vict'ry wagon,
Fight! Iowa State, Fight! Fight! -

There are Nebraska season ticket holders in every state except Rhode Island. I live outside of Iowa and am a die hard ISU fan. I am in West Texas and refuse to cheer for these teams. But I am an alum. I think unless you are the top dog in a state, you almost have to be an alum to be a fan. That goes for all schools.
