A Little Arrogance From DeLoss Dodds and Texas...
Just for your reading pleasure, a little bit of arrogance from DeLoss Dodds and Texas. Does anybody really want to be in a conference controlled by this ego-maniac. Conference realignment mess is all about the University of Texas - ESPN Dallas -

Only to be out done by Tom Osborne's ego....

Can you blame him though? We may not like it, but if ISU was that powerful in college sports, we'd want our AD to do the same thing.

I guess it's your duty to try and deflect ire from NU, but it's not working. Osborne is just as much of an egomaniac as Dodd, and NU is just as power hungry and desirous of controlling the conference as UT. If NU was any different, they would have voted for equal revenue sharing in the past. End of story.

They are looking out for Texas...as they should. I can't blame them for that.

A statement like, "we'll finish it," reaks of arrogance.

If kNU and Mizzou do bolt I do hope Texas decides to stick out rather than go to the Pac-10.

TO and NU are the whiny babies. But I guess NU will find out if the grass is any greener dealing with OSU, Mich and PSU.

What are you talking about? The other members could have out voted Texas and kNU at any time (10-2). You really think ISU/KSU/KU are going to demand further revenue sharing when Texas has an outstanding invite to leave?

If they are gone Texas loses voting control to the lesser members. And, no one the bigXII could add would vote against revenue sharing...hence why Texas would look elsewhere.

If Butler University and their basketball program represents everything that is "right" in college athletics; the University of Texas is the polar opposite and represents everything that is "wrong" about college athletics.
Great article! Thanks for posting.

No. He means that if NU leaves, the four school voting block preventing equal revenue sharing (UT, A&M, OU, and NU) is broken. UT will not be interested in replacing NU with a TCU that will vote against them in the future.

Texas will get whatever they want to keep the conference intact if MU and kNU leave.

But explain this to me: Why wouldn't the remaining B12 members allow the by-laws to be amended in a manner which provides for unequal revenue sharing that can't be changed without unanimous consent to appease Texas?
