Big 12 deserves to be dissolved

As much as it would hurt me to see us be apart of another, perhaps lower tier conference, if the Big 12 broke up/dissolved I would be partially happy to see their business fail. There plan has done nothing but make the rich richer. They have backed themselves into a corner and are on their knees begging their teams to stay. In my line of work...the decision makers would be long gone if they were in the same position.

If only we could turn the clock back to the early 90's and put a stop to the Big 8 moving to the Big 12.

I agree. The move to form the Big 12 has for the most part only benefited the teams that came from the old SWC especially Texas.

So true man, and giving into every last whim of the Texas schools, began to signal the beginning of the end, and also, if only we could've forseen that putting Dan Beebe at the helm, is the closest thing to literally putting DeLoss Dodds in charge.....

Too bad I can't go back to 1995 with the past 15 years of stock/commodity prices. I would be 50x as wealthy as T-Boone and ISU would have benefited greatly in the past 10 years from my billions of donations. I would buy ISU into the Pac 10 or B10.

Well..if the Big 12 breaks up it breaks up..and yes I will have a grin on my face showing that at least in my they got what was deserved.

I still think that if it does playout like this though that the MWC could start to flex some muscle themselves and invite the "uninvited" from the Big 12 to their conference making it hard for the BCS to pass it over.

How many years has it been in a row where a MWC/Big 12 "uninvited" school has made a BCS game?

the demise of the Big 12 is all the Big 12s fault. Their policy that limited the number of big 12 FB games on was stupid and the downfall of the conference. For years we have been able to watch a choice of 4 or 5 big 10 games or 1 or 2 big 12 games. Not too hard to figure out who ended up with all the money, which is what this is all about.
