You'd be surprised how many proven writers use twitter to get people to read their articles online.

Anything coming from Lincoln or Omaha is completely tainted at this point.

RT @gkketch (Geoff Ketchum, owner of Orangebloods)
With the report from @ChipBrownOB that Nebraska will announce Big 10 move tomorrow, this is the end of the Big 12 as we know it. UT is gone. (3:42pm)
Sources have confirmed that DeLoss Dodds will meet with UT coaches this afternoon to discuss the current Big 12 Missile Crisis. (4:00pm)

This is getting comical. They must feel pretty confident that they will be receiving an offer or else this wouldn't be breaking.
I'm not going to believe anything until papers are signed and they are on the way.
What about the radio station out of KC or St. Louis who stated a couple weeks ago that Missou was gone also. The more you read the more Missou gets left out.

Or is it more of the "Bobby, tell Billy if that he really likes me and asks nicely, I'll go to the dance with him".. kind of thing?
Not a formal announcement, the tweet stated the formal announcement is to come on Friday.

No. My great-grandmother and my cousin who lives in the Appalachian mountains both think the same thing.

That's it, I'm officially assigning this the #Big12MissileCrisis on Twitter.

Which makes the whole 'big 12 breaking up' thing more ridiculous. Just losing nebraska shouldnt break up this conference. Mizzou may not have the football history of nebraska, but they've been plenty competitive with them the last decade, and has certainly been respectable in the league the last several years. They also hold a card that nebraska doesnt, that being a much more valuable tv audience. Keeping them, imo, is more valuable than keeping NU, but nobody's talking about the big 12 folding if MU leaves..

yeah - but what is the official announcement? We're moving - done deal? Or more of a note as opposed to whispers in the hall?

Sounds closer to a done deal

Actually, it's not so ridiculous - whoever the 12th member is that is brought in to fill the gap will become the all-important 9th vote that forces Texas, OU, and A&M int equal revenue sharing. If that especially kills Texas' ability to keep the Longhorn Network revenues to themselves, they might as well partner up with the Pac 10 where they would see more money equally sharing revenue than they would unequally sharing it in the Big 12.
