Texas/Revenue sharing

From what I've been reading, the biggest reason Texas wants to leave is because they don't want revenue sharing and Nebraska was one of the votes needed to prevent that.
If that really was a major issue, why wouldn't ISU just say they would side with Texas? If that's what it would take to help the Big XII from dissolving, wouldn't we ultimately lose less money by doing so then what we would by joining a lesser conference?

Because it wouldn't matter? Texas is interested in Texas, and when all is said and done, will use anyone they can to promote their own interests. Just because we agree to be their ***** doesn't mean that they will help us out.

Like I said, just them staying in the Big XII would benefit us more financially, so they can only care about themselves and it would still help us more than the conference dissolving.
