Yup. Just like Tom Osborne a day or two ago.

Because it sounds like Texas Tech has just enough political clout to cause problems for Texas and A&M, so to keep the little brothers to the west happy, Texas is making sure they have a tight grip onto their coattails.

Yeah, but Milton made out like a bandit in that scenario, although he did start annoying people in Pago Pago (or whatever small Pacific island he landed on).

Re: Okie State possibly gone?
Well, that shoots down one of my salvation scenarios...that the Pac-10 was going to offer 4/6 or 5/6 of the AAU schools in the Big 12...

Should hear some chatter after that meeting I would think, if all the coaches are there something will leak out.

Re: Okie State possibly gone?
This makes sense to me. P10 is slowly forcing the Texas hand so they have no choice in the matter and zero negotiating power to bring along teams they want to bring.

I agree. I just know there will be a surprise along the way here. No way the media has this whole thing figured out. Hopefully that surprise involves ISU!

Re: Okie State possibly gone?
I think Baylor is the really odd man out.
Pretty obvious that it will be Big XII South minus Baylor plus Colorado to the PAC 10. And it is Nebraska to the Big Ten. Don't know whether Mizzou is on the wanted list for Big Ten. I actually doubt it.
ISU and K-State are about in the same boat, except that ISU brings a much stronger academic school into things. K-State has Kansas helping them some. But is that really enough? ISU has a few options. But I don't really like any of them. But we really don't have a choice.
If we can get a coalition of Kansas, K-State, ISU, and Mizzou, we can see who we could all go with collectively.
Mountain West, with their TV network, is a possibility. Conference USA, Big East as well.
But does Pac 10 pick off Utah and eliminate the Mountain West as a potential BCS conference? And drop Texas Tech?

But does Pac 10 pick off Utah and eliminate the Mountain West as a potential BCS conference? And drop Texas Tech? That could very well be a deal breaker for Texas, ironically.
