Big 10 bylaws

Does anyone here know what kind of vote is needed to change the Big 10 bylaws? The reason I ask is the Big 10 bylaws would have to be changed to allow Texas and TAMU in. Could this be the way the state makes the U of I force ISU into the Big 10?

Why does Iowa want us in the Big Ten? I'm not saying it's not true, I'm just skeptical that that is the case.

In theory, the BoR could force them to want us in the Big 10.

I don't think it matters what Iowa wants. It's what Sally's boss (aka the BoR aka Chet) want.

It would be interesting to know Iowa's stance on this if it was an option. Would they like to add ISU or would they rather have some random team way out east join up...I know if it was the other way around I'd rather have Iowa join our conference than a school that far away...

If you're referring to the alleged Big Ten rule that a school must be located in a state contiguous to a current Big Ten state to be admitted, that is a myth. There is no such rule or by-law.
If you're referring to something else, yes, please explain.

If the Big 10 adds more to become a super conference then I do believe that our Cyclones will get some very very close consideration. Think about it, you invited Nebraska, then Mizzou, then Rutgers, then who, I could see ISU getting a nod so that the Big 10 can preserve its academic standars, because the way I look at it, they have already have the viewers with the schools listed above, now time to bring in the research dollars and we sure would do that....

I also hope that they would realize what kind of turn around our university would have if we would get the money that comes with being in the Big 10, Look at how loyal our fans are now, just think how they would be if we could start upgrading everything. Our fans would go nuts, and they could promote the hell out of the ISU-Iowa game. Can you say Thanksgiving weekend? it for sure would be then. How sweet would a four team division of

Nebraska
Iowa State
Iowa
Missouri
Be? talk about alot of big money making games there.....

Basically what I am trying to say/prove do not rule out ISU to the Big 10 yet. Yesterday was only the beginning of what is going to be not only a crazy week, but a crazy summer, and football season.

I just hope we dont get screwed in the end.....

ISU isnt coming to the Big 10....you can still hope all you want, no problem there but its not happening....Delaney would put Chet in is place in under five minutes

Just wait, if it (Big 10) goes to a super conference, they will get extreme consideration.....
