I'll feel a lot better when I hear A&M will be going with them as well

I bet TAM goes SEC. Makes too much sense.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style.

Re: UT, 3 others going to Pac-10

I guess this is as good of place as any....

Boise State to join Mountain West Conference in 2011 - CFB News - FOX Sports on MSN

"The league's main goal is to make a better case to become the seventh college football conference awarded an automatic BCS postseason berth."

"He added there's still discussion among Mountain West university presidents on whether the league should remain at 10 schools, or expand to 12 or even 16, to boost its BCS chances."

"Dan Hawkins, head coach at Boise State until jumping to Colorado in 2006, said he doesn't think the Mountain West is done adding teams as college football completes its current reshuffling."

Good read. Iowa State has a huge decision to make. Throw your lot in with an up & coming conference, one that might be a major player in the future (Mtn West) or go with a safe, already established conference that might fall apart in a few years (Big East).

(Note: I'm happy as long as Iowa State finds a safe landing)

I like the fans I've seen so far from the Big East, hah.

And that's what makes me a little uneasy. Leaves the door open for a Kansas invite by the Pac10 (and no, according to several posts in other threads, KSU is not tied to them legally). Kansas really needs to be a part of the Big East talks.

I really don't see Mizzou landing a Big 10 invite....I think best case scenario for ISU is for Mizzou, KSU, Kansas, and ISU to be a package deal somewhere....either to the Big East or the MWC.

I agree, and hopefully Pollard and Co. are busy circling the wagons with MU, KU and KSU.

I'm sure he is doing all he can do, but we know for sure that MU will bolt if the Big 10 comes calling (same with ISU).

Quick question though, does any school in the MWC or Big East wrestle? Mizzou/ISU would be the only two schools that wrestle in either of those conferences, right?

This move could be a devastating blow to ISU's wrestling program, IMO.

ISU is not joining the big east. They would have too many schools for bball. You would not even get to play the entire conference.

You don't play your entire conference in football but still manage to crown a champion. It can be done... basketball is no different.

You're coming to the Big East or I'll drive up there and bring you here myself.

I'm glad I didn't bother to read that huge thread, then.
