The OSU, Oklahoma, Tech perspective
They consider joining the PAC 10 a chance of a lifetime. It is the option that is overwhelming favored. The thought process includes these factors:
It allows them to ditch the teams in the North that subtract rather than add value to the Conference.
Joining the PAC 10 will add conference stability.
It allows them to maintain their rivalries.
They expect to be top dogs in the PAC 16 while if they joined the SEC they would be pounded into obscurity.

Traveling and playing in a league 2 time zones away will take a little of the "allure" away.
Gotta love those Oregon, Wash, Wazzu, Oregon St. road trips.

I just think they all are afraid of what CPR is going to do with ISU football in the future and they are getting out of town while they can!!! -
Re: The OSU, Oklahoma, Tech perspective
Stanford is one of the top teams in the PAC 10 from a revenue standpoint.
Also the travel demands are anticipated to change signficantly since they would be in the southern division with the Arizona schools.

Re: The OSU, Oklahoma, Tech perspective
I've talked to several TX Tech fans last week. Thay are resigned ot the fact that TU will make their decision for them. They only thing they fear is that TX will go to a conference that does not want them. (Sound familair?)

Great to have more revenue, great to continue in the Big 12. Since it is Christmas can we also get the CTN and have the away games shown on at least WOI?
Best of luck
