    I agree with someone's point that this could be UT "wiping their hand's clean" of the situatino by putting this rumor out to Chip. They can now say, look, we wanted to do this but AtM and Nebraska screwed it all up.

    it can also be ESPN not wanting to see Fox get into college football any more. Fox is proposing the new Big12 TV contract. SO ESPN campaigns for the break up of the Big12

    Bingo. ESPN wins if the Big XII goes down.

    Now if Fox Sports goes National like they do with the NFL, then ESPN and ABC will have the Big Ten to offset. CBS has the SEC.

    I'll take the guy that is in bed with the Texas Athletic Department, considering they control everything.
