By having ISU get left out of the Big 12, Iowa was looking at their potential gains. The population of Iowa isn't that big and overtime the impact would have been huge for all major sports to run through UoI. Law makers are thinking this as well... wanting one Big school versus two middle of the road schools (which we both are today).
The fact that all these non-ISU people are so concerned and interested is proof that this is worrisome to them... meaning they know this is good for ISU and hate that. They, just like I like seeing NE suffer, would relish a blow to ISU. They didn't get it after having within their grasp. I love seeing them squeal as they come to realize that we are in a better position and their little love fest of Iowa is not going to be helped by ISU. Love it.
If Iowa fans said nothing, that would be very telling as well, but their weighing in something that "is bad for ISU" is proof that it's not bad for ISU.
