Quarterbacks
So I am working on my latest Big 12 media days blog that will feature OU, Texas, CU and KU.
I got to thinking.
Iowa State and Missouri are the only two North schools that won't have quarterback controversies when camp starts next week.
That is encouraging.

That is encouraging. Agree! It is very encouraging! To quote Steve Deace, "You cant hide your quarterback in college football!" Luckily we have a seasoned veteran at the helm!

Re: Quarterbacks
I don't think NU has any. Sounds like Lee is 100%.
They are talking Green up, but he's a TURD, looked and smelt the part at their spring game. NU loses a ton of players next year, so they have to hype some of these kids up now.

Re: Quarterbacks
Remember the last time we did have a QB controversy? Philip Bates and AA would rotate every offensive drive! What the heck was Chizik thinking on that one?

Re: Quarterbacks
Funny, I seem to remember a lot of people ripping our current QB even after the bowl win.

If hes nearly accurate as that in most all of the games, ISU is in for a good offensive season.

If he can minimize turnovers this year, he will be a very good qb.

Re: Quarterbacks
Count me in the group that thinks Arnaud is going to have a huge year. I'm talking 2,200+ yards passing and 600+ yards rushing. Those numbers may not make Pat Forde and Stew Mandel turn their heads, but when you consider that Tiller will see a lot of snaps, just as he did last year, and the running game will be used early, late and often, those numbers may start to look better and better.
I do expect him to force some turnovers, but I think instead of seeing a disparity of 22 total TDs and 20 total turnovers, it will be closer to 25-28 total TDs and 10-13 total turnovers.
The guy is a play maker, and very few guys move the chains on 3rd and short like AA does. He's forced a lot of bad balls in the past and he's had 3 offensive coordinators and 3 very different offenses while at ISU, but I really think he puts it all together this year. He's knows the offense, he has playmakers around him and a good line, and he showed last year, prior to the injury, that he was figuring things out (KU, 95% of the KSU game and the first half of the Baylor game).

Re: Quarterbacks
Now that Tebow is gone, I don't think there's a more powerful running QB in the entire country than AA. How many times did he either get a 1st down or a touchdown by carrying 2 or 3 guys on his back? Quite a few.
If he can just eliminate the stupid INTs and fumbles, he'd be REAL solid. I just hope he doesn't play too conservatively either though, in trying to not turn the ball over. He still will need to take some deep shots every now and then to loosen up the defense. He cannot always throw 3 yd WR screens and slants.
I love watching him run with the ball though. He's not Barry Sanders, but he's pretty close to being a Jerome Bettis. I love it.

Edit*: Mistook your meaning of powerful. Nevermind the Pryor comment.

(Which seemed to happen several times throughout the season.)
