Colorado back to the Big 12?

Here's an interesting column that throws down a scenario of Colorado coming back to the Big 12....would you be in favor of taking them back?

Only if we added another team, no way I would take back Colorado if it meant having only 11 teams in the conference.

I would welcome them back. Now add a school like Colorado State, Air Force, or BYU to the North and we have 12 teams and can be legitimately called the Big 12 again!

NO WAY. The reason the Pac 10 can't come after big 12 schools now is because Colorado and Utah both went to the Pac 10. If those two back out they could come after Texas, OU, A@M, Oky State, KU, and Baylor. Then we would be left in the cold again. Right now they won't make it a 18 team conference. So those schools are going to stay here.

No way the Pac-10 rejects either Utah or CU, but I would take CU back in a heart beat. I'm gonna miss playing CU more than NU. Add BYU with CU and move on without the bugeaters.

Colorado + BYU would be a good combination.

Plus, since we'd know CU is stuck with no option other than the MWC at that point (and maybe not even that depending on how far along their realignment is) we'd have leverage to make them accept conditions to rejoin. Reduced share of the revenue pie.

I'd only take CU back if we could get BYU or Boise with them. However, I don't think the Pac-10 will reject either team.

I've thought all along that the Pac-10 was only interested in Colorado if it was a package deal with the Big 12 South schools minus Baylor. Deep down I'm sure some of the schools aren't thrilled with just adding Utah and CU

I'd be for CU being accepted back into the Big 12 only if they bring BYU or Utah with them. If they come crawling back by themselves I hope Beebe says "have fun in the Mountain West."

Yes but my sense from the article is that the former UCLA Chancellor likes the geographic parity of the conference, meaning that this group that is against Utah and CU would be against anyone else joining.

OR they would be for OU/OSU and UT/aTm.

I doubt very much that the Pac 10 turns either of these teams away now and I can't imagine UU or CU would want to leave.

I enjoyed the article and the thought of Colorado getting left out in the cold; however, there is little to no chance it happens. If it did, I am in favor of letting them back in the Big XII under the condition we add another team as well.

Well, if the Pac 10 rejects CU and Utah, I say the Big XII snatch both.

Not really crazy about getting CU back, however. Along with Utah, we'd have balanced divisions once again and a more wide open North with NU out the door - that is certainly appealing. But CU has been playing footsie with the Pac 10 forever, it seems (alot like Mizzou and the Big 10). In that respect, I say good riddance.
