Absolutely. They also ran up over 500 yards of offense. However, WKU is a horrible football team. I know it's the first game of the season, but Nebraska is supposedly a top-10 team based primarily on the strength of their defense. To give up 300 yards to WKU including 155 rushing yards to Rainey is not exactly a strong statement.Quote:

Agreed. Just so everyone know, WKU is a Sunbelt team on a 20 game losing streak. So Taylor Martinez, who WKU didn't even really have an opportunity to gameplan for, ran fast and threw a couple nice passes. Big deal. This is similar to the EIU-UI game where the opponent is so bad, that a dominant performance is expected and doesn't really say anything about the team. We should learn a little more about NU next week when they play Idaho, who actually won a bowl game last year and are 1-0 after a 45 pt win this week.Quote:

Everybody starts a little slow the first game of the year. Florida looked garbage, so did Oklahoma. Does that make all of them overrated?
What would the score be if WKU played Northern Ill ?
219 of those were in the second half. Florida Atlantic had 358 yards last year in the opener, so clearly this year's Nebraska defense is much better.
