Student Disciplinary Hearing

Anyone get one of these with their hall director before? I have one for harassment, actually 8 of us got it. It was banter back and forth and I guess some people take it to seriously (not in our group though...).

How much trouble did you guys get in?

None. It's basically just a lecture for 5 minutes.

Is that where you have to go talk to the hall director? Or do you have to go to the student judicial office. Hall director one is usually just a warning. Judicial office usually isn't that serious either. Probably will just get a warning maybe a reprimand or something. Nothing too serious as long as you don't do it five more times or something..

If you haven't caused problems before it will probably be a slap on the wrist and warning/threat of being kicked out if you pull crap again.

Not been in the situation before but that seems like a "normal" response.

First time and it is just to the Hall Director.

Just hope that they don't put you on "double secret probation"

Yea we didn't think it was that bad either except the fact that all 8 of us got this letter.

What if its a brand new hall director

I had 3 of them if I remember correctly with Linda Garbisch and got nothing from it. I think after the 3rd I might have got put on "probation". It was just a title as nothing would have happened

I got one for getting caught drinking with some buddies before we were 21. It basically was a 5 minute "don't be stupid next time" lecture, I think I signed something saying I'd make better decisions next time, and that was it.

And we did make better decisions. From then on we didn't play the music so loud when we were drinking!

My buddy has been written up and had to talk to the Hall Director 5 times so far this year and nothing has happened to him yet. I think they were:
2 for quiet hours violations
1 for a beer can that the CA saw in his room
1 for climbing on top of the BWR arches
1 for having an air conditioner against regulations

trust me, you'll be absolutely fine
