Top dorms at ISU

I got accepted to isu and i was wondering what dorms are good. Maple, Eaton, Martin, Willow, Farch?

Do you want to be pampered in luxury or do you want to party your balls off? Do you want to live around other people in your major, or a mix? Do you want co-ed floors or non?

Picking a dorm is 100% dependent on your preferences.

I lived in Willow. You can't go wrong with co-ed floors. It is right by Seasons dinning center, lied rec, and a bus stop. A lot of parking is also available.

Pre-emptive thread summary:
-Depends on what you're looking for, what your major is.
-Friley is fun and close to engineering stuff!
-Friley is smelly and stupid! You'd have to be an idiot to live there!
-Eaton/Martin are the nicest dorms.
-Eaton/Martin are full of boring rich snobs that hide from the world!
-Get the hell out of the dorms ASAP and get to a fraternity!
-Frats are stupid places, full of stupid people!
-Dorms are just as stupid, you only hate dorms because that one dude didn't let you into a part or something.
-MWL is party central, is close to Lied, has recently improved dining service.
-MWL has a prison like aesthetic and is far away from everything.

Old RCA, BWR now. All dudes, but there is a dorm that is all women less than a block away. Not to mention close to Jack Trice. Also huge field to play ultimate, football and any other shenanigans. Best 2 years of my life were spent on Welch floor.

Forgot to add, The rooms come furnished. 2 lofts, a dresser, walk in closet, computer chair, desk and small cabinet. Not to mention the rooms are pretty big compared to others on campus.

Are Eaton and Martin the most popular? Would i get in to Eaton if i put it as my top choice and applied right now?

If Farch tickles your fancy, you may also want to consider Knapp or Storms Halls.

Definitely go to MWL. I lived in Martin this semester and it was super nice but MWL has much more going on if you are looking to meet a lot of new people

For an engineering student I would highly recommend Friley, which you can be guaranteed a spot if you join a learning community. For any other major I wouldn't know, but avoid Helser if you know whats goof for ya. I would also avoid Willow and Larch if you don't like the sound of fire alarms going off 24/7.
