Best dorm?

I enjoyed it. Any place is as good as you allow it to be

Helser is a **** hole now, as is Larch. I have a friend who moved in to helser this year and there were cockroaches in the room when they got there.

Stay away from the two towers. Cold, distant, and overabundant with sorcery, pipeweed and ale. I think the other two towers were destroyed by treebeard.

That's fine but for a room to be dusty and have cockroaches crawling around on move in day is not acceptable.

To expand, I lived in Friley my first semester freshman year, and if you get stuck on the 5th floor, you get absolutely hosed. Rooms are tiny, my neighbors had two people in a single, and there literally was no room to move in their room. I moved to Eaton second semester and couldn't have been happier. My room in Eaton had it's own bathroom and everything.

Yeah, top floor Friley, depending where you live, sucks. I lived second floor Friley in Godfrey, which is ground level, for my first 2.5 years. That part was awesome, but my house was socially inept. Moved to Helser Woodrow the next semester, and it was great. But I was part of the last group that got to live there as they tore that part of Helser down the following summer.

My favorite was Roberts Harriman. The community rivals Towers without having to live like a Sherpa...

I lived in Helser....and have absolutely nothing to say about it.

I lived in Helser freshman year. It was good. No A/C meant everyone had their doors open all the time in the beginning of the year, so you get to know everybody pretty well.

Moved over to Friley with a group of guys sophomore year, and the rooms were bigger, and having A/C was nice, but it was not much better than Helser to be honest.

Another Helser survivor here. The rooms were small, the place was old, the lack if ac sucked, but the community was great. I made a lot of awesome friends living there.

Couldn't have said it any better. The lack of ammenties really made the community great. I would never chose to live there more than a year, but it really was a great experience being there for my freshman year

They tore down what would amount to a house per floor. Where the UDCC is now.
