This place will put Gumby's out of business. Smotherella sticks and Clones are both better IMO. Not to mention cheaper and more sauces. I can't say that the pizza was my thing (I like GeAngelos and Great Plains) but it was decent.

So I get the feeling that it's a good place to eat. But the most important question to ask is do you think if this place has what it takes to last in Ames?

You would hope that the quality of their food will keep them around. But, then again, what happened to Davinci's?
There's been very little talk in this thread about their sandwiches. That's all I've ever ordered there. They're fantastic. Quiznos quality if you ask me, and cheaper to boot.

Better than the $5 footlong Subway deal.

Not only are the pizza and extras good. I went there for lunch and had one of their sandwiches (some kinda philly steak thing) and it was absolutely amazing. The single pizza slices are the size of a dinner plate. Definitely some solid food. The only problem I have with the place isn't enough seating for eat in.

I will say that there is a lack of parking around there, so they may have to do most of their business with walking traffic and deliveries.

This place should be around for a while if it keeps doing what it is right now. I don't even know of any lasting establishment at that location in the past 5 years (I thought it was just an extension of Jaded Angel 2). Jeff's and Angie's Kitchen will hopefully become staples of Campustown instead of going on the wayside. They're both awesome. Originally Posted by jdewaard I sure hope so. Oh god the sandwiches are delicious. That's all we get at work. Every Saturday at 3PM we make an order, and they know us by name... I haven't had any pizza though. Maybe I should try that some time.

How they're financed and staffing issues will determine whether they survive, imo. A properly capitalized business with the right staffing plan will survive, all others will fail, regardless of how good the food is.

We get Jeff's a lot at home, great pizza, and it's right down the street so it only takes like 20 minutes for delivery.
