I'm a current ISU student who's home for spring break in Des Moines. I just got a text and call from ISU Alert, our new system incase things like VT or Northern Illinois happen, saying there's a potential gunman on the loose in Willow Hall. Something about African-American, 6'0, with a tattoo on his neck in a blue and white jacket. I can't remember the rest of the message.
If anyone has friends in Willow Hall, or is in Willow Hall and hasn't heard this already, I was just putting it out there. This is the first time this system has been used, and although most people should be gone on break it's 2 in the morning and who knows how many people are aware of this!
Scary stuff. Hope everyone's OK.

The ISU gunman is actually in a dorm on campus.

It's most likely that someone just has/had a gun and hasn't actually taken any shots. If that's the case, it isn't the first time and it won't be the last.

Isn't Willow where alot of the athletes live now, along with Maple and Larch?
