Here's one vote for "it's probably fine the way it is now."
For perspective, KU only has one dead day - Friday before finals - where there are no classes. The rest of the week before finals is just like any other day in a semester.
Oh yeah, and Dan Fischer is a good kid and should be good for the University and the Student Body.

Should we not have a true dead week because some people can't refrain, and party instead?
I understand where some of you are coming from - and those are very valid points. In fact, it's something that should be addressed before making a decision like that. | ISU Student - Iowa fan. Best of both worlds. |

I think most people want to study. That doesn't mean they will. | ISU Student - Iowa fan. Best of both worlds. |

But it's true, even if they made "dead" week actually dead, I'm sure professors wouldn't listen.

One of the things that we are going to try to get done this year is make Dead Week an actual "Dead Week". No classes, tests, or homework. Just a week to study before finals.
Most of the first two weeks have just been electing senators into Committee chairs, but it sounds like we have a good group that is interested in getting things done around campus.
There are also some new changes happening within the university - such as a complete overhaul of the budget system.
Anyways, that's it until we're back this fall. I think EIU should have dead year. Maybe that would keep more players out of jail. | Chicks that chest bump rock. |
