There is this really romantic park just on the Northwest side of town. You can pack a lunch and climb to the top of the tower. Very romantic..........
For some odd reason there are not a lot of kids that play there either.....

In Des Moines I really like the Greenbrier, MoJo's, and The Latin King.
For the money, Tumea's (on the south side near the ball park) is quite nice. The food is not canteened, consistent, and the atmosphere is "old neighborhood."

For some odd reason there are not a lot of kids that play there either..... I got married there, if it's where I'm thinking you mean. Moore Memorial Park up near Somerset. It's beautiful.
