So I'm tinkering with my classes to make my schedule better and was wondering if any one here had taken hist 201 or relig 205 and tell me what they thought. Personally I have no interest in either subject but they fill my humanities requirement so was looking for some insight... thx
I took 201. The tests were kind of hard, but i had a good partner that i shared notes with. she went one day, i went the other, and we did it that way. my recitation TA was kind of a tool (made us do more than any other TA's). I can't compare it to 205 but I can tell you 201 gave me easy credits and didn't hurt my GPA.
I took 205 with Kelley a couple years ago. Cool professor who does a nice job presenting the material. Overall it is an easy class as long as you actually show up and pay attention. Final grade consisted of a few quizzes, a couple in class essay type exams, and a group project.
I took 205 with Robert Rietveld in the spring of '08 and the class was absolute cake. Exams were take home, and your quizzes were group quizzes in class. Homework was literally just copying parts of the book.
2 of the easiest classes you can take at ISU. I'd personally go with religion just because there a lot of TA's who grade very oddly in the History Department.
