Spring Class
I need a 3 credit class that fills the U.S. Diversity requirement. Any ideas on some interesting/ easy ones? I pretty much dont want a hard class because I already have Calc II, Bio 212, Chem 211, and BBMB 102 which should be tough enough
Edit: I just looked and I think my college spanish from high school applies to the International Perspectives so I don't need a class for that anymore

Re: Spring Class
It's been awhile since I'd taken classes there but check out the Political Science classes, especially world politics. Can't remember the class number but that one was just a basic overview of all the different political systems and was pretty cushy elective I thought.

I took this as my International Perspectives class as well. When I took it, there were no papers just exams.

Re: Spring Class
what is the topic of religion 205 specifically? i've heard of that human sexuality class too

Re: Spring Class
Religion 205 is an overview of the major religions present in America and how they have developed with/influenced America's development. An excellent class when taught by Northway. No homework and the tests are pretty straightforward.

His 205 class is currently full but he'll sign an add slip for anybody.

I can't really comment on the difficulty level of the exams as I'm in engineering and not use to those types of exams, plus it was 2004 and I don't remember too well. I just read the book and did very well.
I would take a class on a topic that you at least find somewhat interesting.

Re: Spring Class
HDFS 276 is one of the most- if not the most- popular classes at Iowa State. It fills up literally within minutes of the seniors being able to register every semester, so good luck getting in. It's also a fair amount of work, but students like it so they're willing to do it. Just don't expect a free 'A'.
True and Valiant
I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.

Re: Spring Class
Ya I couldn't get into the 276 class if I tried... I've been looking through the lists to try and find some good classes, but its hard to find good ones that fit into my schedule

Re: Spring Class
I settled on an ethics class that I needed. Phil 230. Moral Theory and Practice. It should be interesting. The professor seems to be liked on ratemyprofessor.com so thats a plus. Most importantly it fits perfectly into my schedule! Tuesday & thursday I am done at 11!

Re: Spring Class
Phil 230 isn't bad. However my preferred schedule would be having classes that don't start until 11. Haha!

Haha! lol I had late classes this semester but I never had time to do anything because I didn't wake myself up. Now that I'm already awake I should be able to get my work done better......hopefully lol

Re: Spring Class
Pol Sci 241 with Cunningham wasn't too bad of a class
"We embrace that challenge and what it presents to us. I’m going to approach all 12 games this way: We’re going to win them all. If we prepare and then go out and execute, we’re going to win all 12. Now how many are we going to end up with at the end of the year? I don’t know, and you’re right, I won’t put a number on it."- Paul Rhoads on having the toughest schedule in the Big 12
