Shih I wasn't concerned about. He was an administrator, not a prof for the most part. I was referring more to Soon-Jo Chung, and more notably, Fred Haan. Haan was the best instructor I've had at ISU.

Wow, I was going to throw Haan out there in the best prof thread. He was no doubt my top pick out of the aero department. Hey Joe, do you know where he went?
It was more of the sign of Shih leaving than the actual loss of a teacher that bothered me, considering he simply took the same position he had here, only at Neil Armstrong Hall in West Lafayette.
As for Haan, I had the chance to work with him this summer...amazing man, really wish I wouldn't have missed having him by 1 year. When you lose someone like him (have yet to hear a student who had a class with him say a bad thing) and Chung, who was doing some really interesting work in micro-aero vehicles, it doesn't send a good sign.
