How many years of Spanish (Espaņol) do you need to get it to Iowa State. I have heard a bunch of different years from 2-4 years of spanish. How many years do you need to graduate. I have heard from 2,3,4 years. Right now I am in Spanish 3 and don't want to take Spanish 4 unless I have too. Does anyone know?

I took two years of Spanish in HS and regret that I didn't take all 4 years of it there as it was much easier in HS. In order for me to graduate in my major I needed a total of 4 years of Spanish. Because I took 2 years in HS my freshman and sophomore year, I wasn't allowed to take intro Spanish in college. On top of that, I didn't take my Spanish requirements until my Jr/Sr year of college and I struggled relearning Spanish. Moral of my story...get it done in HS!!!!
Check with an academic advisor, it may depend upon your major. I know I was always told I needed it while I was in HS but when I got to the ISU Business department I didn't need it. This was about 17 years ago so it may have changed but I definitely think it is worth a call to the admissions office and/or an Academic advisor from the specific department you are looking at.
