Which is it? On his Cap City uniform, it says Steiger. Everything on Cyclones.com says Staiger. Is the uniform messed up? Are there two accepted spellings? Anyone know the final answer? You may use a lifeline.

I'm willing to bet they screwed up his uniform. Scout, Rivals, Cyclones.com all has it as Staiger. I think it's Staiger. :)

And...that "a" (or "e") is silent and the I isn't. At least, that's how his name was called last night.

I'd be a bit angry is someone spelled my name wrong on a uniform and didn't fix it.

I've been seeing in the "e" spelling often in posts. I'm guessing this is from the Cap City uniform. This will now forever be a problem like:
Stintson
Blaylock
Rashon
Myers
etc...

When I attended the games last Sunday, he was talking to the P.A. guy before the game, and he said they did misspell his name, and it is Staiger. And what I heard Lucca say, that his last name is pronounced Sti-ger.

Steiger is a company that used to make big 4-wheel-drive tractors. Because I have a farm background, I'll now call him Lucca Steiger.
